Wedding car hire in Doncaster
We have been taking Doncaster couples to their weddings since 1985. It is a family business: Helen answers every enquiry herself, and every car comes with ribbons to match your colours and an experienced, uniformed chauffeur.
The cars
Vintage Rolls Royces for the bride, and limousines for everyone else. You are welcome to come and view the cars before you decide.
- Rolls Royce Phantoms, 1933, 1937 and 1938 Three genuine 1930s Rolls Royces. The 1938 Phantom III is coach built, the largest Rolls Royce produced, with room for the biggest ball gown. Up to 6 or 7 passengers.
- Imperial Viscount Landaulettes Two vintage-style cars, one ivory and one ivory and silver. The soft top lowers in seconds, so they can be open or closed depending on the weather. Up to 7 passengers.
- Ford Bramwith Landaulette Ivory and black, seating up to seven facing each other, with room for the bride’s dress.
- Daimler limousines Two ivory and one black and Old English White, 7 passengers plus the driver. A popular second car for bridesmaids, mothers and guests.
Where we go
Couples get in touch from all over Doncaster and the villages around it, including Armthorpe, Bawtry, Rossington, Stainforth, Thorne, Askern, Conisbrough, Sprotbrough and Mexborough, and from further out in Barnsley, Rotherham, Pontefract and Retford.
The venues couples ask us about most often include Thornhurst Manor, the Mount Pleasant Hotel, the Mansion House, Owston Hall, Cusworth Hall and Bawtry Hall.
Prices are worked out on distance, so tell us where the car collects you from and where you are going.
How booking works
- Send us your date. Use the form, ring Helen, or message us on Facebook. Helen checks the diary and comes back with what is free and what it would cost.
- A deposit secures the car. We prefer a bank transfer, and confirm your booking by email.
- Two weeks before the wedding, Helen rings to go through the timings, addresses and anything that has changed. The balance is due then.
- On the day, the car arrives at the time we agreed, dressed in your colours, and the chauffeur works with your photographer.
Questions couples ask
How much does a wedding car cost?
Each quote is worked out for the booking: the car you choose, the distance and the hours needed. Send us your date and where you are going, and Helen will give you a price.
How far ahead should we book?
As soon as you have your date. Many couples book a year or more ahead, and January and February are our busiest months for new bookings.
Can we see the cars before we book?
Yes. Ring Helen on 07800 787225 to arrange a time to come and view them.
How many people fit in each car?
The 1933 Phantom II and 1937 Phantom III take up to 6 passengers. The 1938 Phantom III, the Ford Bramwith and the two Imperial Viscounts take up to 7. Each Daimler takes 7 passengers plus the driver.
Can we have more than one car?
Yes. The Daimler limousines are a popular second car for bridesmaids, mothers and guests, and they sit well alongside the vintage cars. Say so in the “Anything else” box on the form, or tell Helen when you ring.
What if it rains?
The soft tops on the Imperial Viscounts lower in seconds, so they can be open or closed on the day, whatever the weather does.
Do you only do weddings?
No. The same cars and the same service are there for christenings, renewal of vows, anniversaries, proms and parties.
